Grower-direct · Central Texas · Fall 2026 planting is open
Skip the ten years. Buy the tree already grown.
Three to ten feet tall, grown or hand-graded on our Central Texas ranch, matched to your zone and ready to go in the ground the week it lands. Every tree ships with a printed size spec. If it misses the spec, we refund you and you keep the tree.

The second beat
What they ship. What we ship.
The single most common complaint in this category is that the plant arrived smaller than the picture. So we print the ruler. Every product page carries the height, the caliper, the container and the root form we actually put in the box, and the guarantee is written against those numbers, not against a photograph.

Before you buy
Will it thrive where you plant?
Enter your ZIP. We will tell you your USDA growing zone and, tree by tree, which of ours belong in your ground, including the ones that do not. We would rather tell you now than sell you a tree that dies in year one.
USDA Plant Hardiness Zone by ZIP (2023 map). A tree thrives when your zone falls inside its range. Borderline is honest, not a hard no. Ask us.

Why our trees are bigger
We grow them.
The big online nurseries list thousands of products and own no nursery. They broker. We own the ranch, we plant the liners, and we grade every tree against the spec before it goes in a box.
We show you the ruler.
Every product page prints the height, the caliper, the container and the root form we actually ship, and the same numbers ride along on a printed card in the box.
We refund money.
Not a replacement credit with a photo requirement and a four-week claim window. Money, back to your card, for one year from the day you plant it.

The Rooted Guarantee
A guarantee that pays money
Most guarantees in this category are a one-time replacement credit with a photo requirement, a short claim window and an arbitration clause. Here is ours next to the terms that are standard online. Read both.
| Term | The Rooted Guarantee | Typical online nursery |
|---|---|---|
| Remedy | Money back to your card, or a replacement. Your choice. | Replacement only. “Not a money-back guarantee and does not provide refunds.” |
| How long | One year from the day you plant it. | One approved replacement, one time. |
| Who pays freight | We do. | Replacement shipping, handling and tax are the customer’s responsibility. |
| Proof required | Tell us what happened. | Clear photos required for each plant claimed. |
| Size claim | Misses the printed spec, full refund and you keep the tree. | No published shipping-size spec to measure against. |
| Disputes | No arbitration clause, no class-action waiver. | Binding individual arbitration, class-action waiver, liability capped. |

Ship windows
We will not ship you a tree in July
Texas trees go in the ground between October 15 and December 15, when the soil is still warm and the air is not trying to kill them. That is when we ship. Reserve now, plant on Texas Arbor Day.
When will my tree actually ship?
Every product page prints its own ship window at the top, above the buy button. The sawtooth oak run is a pre-sell and ships within 21 days of purchase (25-Tree Acre Packs within 30 days). You can cancel any time before it ships for a full refund, and if we cannot make the window we email you before it closes with a revised date and a one-click cancel.
Why does fall matter so much?
A tree planted in October spends the whole winter growing roots into warm soil with no leaves to support. By the time the first hot day arrives it has a root system. A tree planted in June spends its first summer trying to do both jobs at once, and usually loses.
It arrived with no leaves. Is it dead?
Almost certainly not. Deciduous trees shipped in the dormant season arrive leafless on purpose. That is what dormant means, and it is why fall shipping works. Scratch a twig with your thumbnail; green underneath means the tree is alive.
Which states can you ship to?
We ship live plants to most of the continental United States. We cannot ship to California, Arizona, Alaska or Hawaii. Those are state agricultural restrictions on live plant material, not our preference. Hard goods like the root starter and deer guards ship everywhere.
What about oak wilt?
Do not prune oaks in Central Texas between February and June, when the beetles that spread oak wilt are active. If you must make a cut, paint it immediately. Our oaks ship dormant, which is the safest time to plant one.
What does the inventory number mean?
It is the real count of trees left in the field for that size, decremented by Shopify as orders come in. There is no countdown timer on this site and there never will be. When a run is gone, the next ones are the following fall, because that is how trees work.
